Preppo

Introduction

Preppo is a mobile app that connects learners with trusted tutors in English, French, Spanish, Korean, German, Chinese, and more. Whether preparing for exams like IELTS, TOEFL, or DELF, or improving conversational skills, learners can easily find the right tutor, book sessions, and track progress—all in one place.

I designed the end-to-end user flow—covering tutor search, profile review, scheduling, and booking—and conducted usability tests to validate the experience and identify improvements.

Home

The home screen highlights the top five tutors in each language category, ranked by student ratings. Users can browse across languages or quickly filter by language tags at the top to see all available tutors in that category.

Booking Process

The booking flow is designed to be simple and transparent. Users start by reviewing a tutor's profile, then select an available time from the schedule. Before checkout, they can set learning goals by choosing target scores and focus areas. The checkout process supports multiple payment options (credit card, PayPal, installment plans) with a clear order summary to avoid confusion. Once payment is complete, users receive a confirmation screen with session details and cancellation policies, ensuring clarity and trust at every step.

Post-Booking Experience

After a session is booked, learners receive an automatic welcome message from the tutor, creating a sense of confirmation and personal connection. Upcoming classes are clearly listed under the Sessions tab, where users can join or cancel with transparent policies. This phase ensures trust, clarity, and ongoing engagement beyond the checkout flow.
